Purpose:
The Modular Total Hip Arthroplasty course will allow the participant to increase their knowledge in various roles as the Perioperative Registered Nurse. The course reviews the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative nursing steps taken to care for the total hip arthroplasty patient. In addition, the course outlines the modular total hip arthroplasty intraoperative technique that will allow the RN to better function in the scrub role.
