Experience:

Susan is a published author, researcher, educator, and mentor in the area of Perioperative pressure ulcer prevention. In 2004 she was the keynote speaker for the Perioperative College of Nurses in Auckland, New Zealand. For the past 20 years Susan has presented numerous research lectures and poster presentations at National and Regional Conferences including the Association of Operating Room Nurses (AORN), the Wound, Ostomy, Continence, Nurses Society (WOCN), and the Symposium on Advances in Wound Care. She has presented at numerous CE programs, seminars and events. For many years she served as guest lecturer at the University of Memphis Nursing program and the University of Arkansas Masters in nursing programs.

Susan has been involved in the program planning for the evidence-based nursing series and all programs for the past three years as TNA President of District One. In January, 2007 she attended the AANC Accreditation symposium in order to learn how to become an accredited provider. She is currently the nurse planner for NursingCEportal.com an online continuing education company. She works closely with the nurse planner at the VA Medical Center at Memphis to ensure appropriate paperwork and content meet the rigor of continuing education guidelines.
