I received some coupon codes at AORN Congress 2009, but I don't know how to use them.
First register if you have not already, click on "Register" at the top of the page in the blue bar. Once you have registered, pick a course you want to buy and then click on "Take Now" for that course. The next screen will ask for a code if you have one, and that is where you enter the code. From there the course will begin.
I completed the course and passed the test, where is my certificate?
Log in, click on "My CE Portal" (purple button), click on "Courses Taken", and then "Get Certificate". It is a PDF file and a window will open asking you to open or save the file. If you have a pop-up blocker, it may block that window from opening, which may be why you did not see that window when you passed the course. You may have to de-block our site from your pop-up blocker. The only pop-ups we have are for your use, and we have no pop-up ads on our site. You can save your certificate or keep your hard drive cleaner by accessing your certificate any time on Nursing CE Portal. It will be available with us for at least six years.
How do I buy courses for my staff?
Contact Kathy Carlson toll free at (877) 483-1333 or email her at kcarlson@nursingceportal.com. She will need to know the first and last names of each participant and their email addresses in order to make the courses available to them upon receipt of payment. Please be sure to ask about bulk order discounts.
Not all of my staff has internet access. How do we proceed?
You may purchase a DVD for $39.99 to show to your staff. We will email you the participant packets that will contain instructions for each participant, a course evaluation, and a course test. The manager will also receive an email file of the handout packet for the course. The cost per "paper method" participants is $19.99, the increase over the regular price covers the increased processing costs. The manager can save money by having those who do have internet access fill out their course evaluation and test online ($14.99/person). For those who chose the paper method, two copies of each certificate will be sent to the manager, one for the manager and one for the participant. The participant's copy will be in its own envelope with the person's name on the front. The back of each participant's copy of the certificate will have each individual's log in and password in order that they will be able to access their account if and when they ever have computer access. The manager's certificate copies will not have log-ins or passwords on them.
For those who choose to fill out the evaluation and test online, we require their first and last names and their email addresses to pre-register them so that the course is available to them at the time or before payment is made. The exception to this is if the participant is providing payment for the course, in which case we do not need to pre-register him or her.
Anyone who has access to our courses has that access for the life of the course plus one year (life is determined by the expiration date of accreditation). All certificates are available online (or with a phone call to those without internet access) for at least six years from the date of passing the test.
How do you use my personal information?
We use your personal information to ensure that you are who you say you are and to provide the best customer service possible. We will never sell, lend, or give your personal information to another company. We do send out emails periodically, but just let us know if you do not want to receive them by sending us a quick email asking to be removed from our email list. If you opt to be removed from our periodic emailings, we may need to email you personally if there are any problems with your account.
How do I find and print my certificates?

All sales are final. Please review objectives of a course before you choose to take it to make sure you it covers the information you want to learn.

If you would prefer to pay with a check, please contact Kathy Carlson at (877) 483-1333 to set up the transaction.
How long are your courses?
The length of the education activity matches the number of contact hours. If the course is 1 contact hour, it takes about 60 minutes to take the education activity
What if I do not wish to take any surveys?
There is no requirement that you take a survey. They will be available in order to give industry partners, those who supply the operating room with new products, the information they need to develop the best products. The companies who participate pay for every survey participant to take any course at a discount.
For how long do I have access to any course I buy?
You may obtain a certificate from any course until its expiration date. Accreditation for any course lasts for only two years. The course will remain available on the website for you to review for a year past the expiration date. The accreditation dates will be added to each course's description in the Spring of 2009. None of our courses expires before September, 2009.
